The best part of finishing a book? Having someone to talk about it with. One More Book brings readers together in Hamburg for thoughtful conversations, fresh perspectives and the simple joy of sharing stories.
From January 2027, our physical book club will have an accessible €5 monthly membership, with optional higher contributions for anyone who wants to help sustain One More Book.

What being part of the book club means
Come as you are: curious, enthusiastic, full of questions, or simply ready to listen. We believe great book conversations don’t require perfect opinions or a finished reading list.
Our Hamburg-based gatherings are a chance to meet fellow book lovers, exchange recommendations and connect beyond social media. Meeting dates, locations and availability are shared directly with interested readers.

We’re introducing a modest monthly membership in January 2027 to help keep our in-person book club and the wider One More Book initiative sustainable. Choose the option that feels right for you. These are our planned prices; enrolment and payments are not open yet.
Book Club Membership

Our accessible membership for readers joining the physical book club in Hamburg. Come together for thoughtful discussions, fresh perspectives and connections through books. Meeting details and final terms will be shared before enrolment opens.
Supporting Membership
€10
per month · club + extra support
Includes the same physical book-club membership, plus an additional voluntary €5 monthly contribution towards the website, podcast, editing software and organisation of One More Book.
Community Champion
€20
per month · optional contribution
For those who would like to help sustain One More Book with a larger monthly contribution. You can choose this whether or not you attend the physical book club. If you wish to attend, please let us know so we can confirm club membership and availability.
The amounts above are planned monthly contributions. Sending an enquiry does not create a membership or initiate a payment. Meeting capacity, final benefits, cancellation terms and payment arrangements will be confirmed before launch.
WHY YOUR SUPPORT MATTERS
Help us keep One More Book independent
We believe books should bring people together, not pressure people to buy more. We choose not to build our community around Amazon affiliate links or constant book shopping, and we make space for underrepresented authors and stories that may receive less mainstream attention.
But running a book club, maintaining our website and podcast, paying for editing tools and organising events all have real costs. Until now, we’ve shouldered these ourselves. A small contribution from our community will help us share that responsibility without compromising our values.
We know even €5 isn’t affordable for everyone. If the cost would prevent you from joining, please reach out privately so we can discuss what may be possible.

Is this an online or an in-person book club?
Our book club meets in person in Hamburg. The website and podcast are additional ways to stay connected to our literary community.
Can I come if I haven’t finished the book?
Absolutely. We welcome curiosity, different perspectives and readers at their own pace.
What is the difference between the three options?
The €5 plan is for the physical book club. The €10 Supporting Membership includes the club plus an additional contribution. The €20 Community Champion option is a larger voluntary contribution for supporters, including people who do not attend in person. If you choose €20 and wish to attend meetings, please contact us so we can confirm availability and your club membership.
When do payments begin?
We plan to introduce paid membership in January 2027. Enrolment and payment collection are not open yet; details of how to join, pay and cancel will be shared before launch.
What if I cannot afford the monthly fee?
We care about keeping conversations around books accessible. Please get in touch privately if the membership fee would make it difficult for you to participate.
How can I express interest in joining?
Email us to express interest in the physical book club. We’ll share the latest information about availability and meetings. An enquiry is not a paid membership or a confirmed reservation.
